People always make excuses to get out of their situation. In my opinion, excuses are a way for people to avoid what they are doing, a way to escape the unavoidable. In comparison, reasons can inspire one to go out and change their situation. If someone gives a reason, it can make a change. If someone gives an excuse, they are just trying to avoid the unavoidable.

Something that I strongly believe in is standing up for yourself and others. it is something that I have known I should do for a long time, but this year (as our class society was based around bullying), I have learned the importance of standing up. When someone is being bullied, when a bystander step in to try to help, the issue is resolved within 10 seconds 57% of the time. That could make such a huge difference, not just in someone else's life, but in your life too. So, something I strongly believe in is to "take the by out of bystander"
As the famous Dr. Seuss said, "sometimes the questions are complicated but the answers are simple". To me, this means a lot. If you ask any of my friends and family, they will all tell you that I over think everything. I think that this quote really shows something that I am still trying to learn. By pointing out that "sometimes the questions are complicated", it is like showing my ability to over think. I take simple questions and push and expand them until they are much more. But, in reality, "the answers are simple", which to me shows that I have to go back to the original question, and find a simple answer. That is why this is something I try to remember.
People are told not to succumb to peer pressure time and time again, but this is something that I really feel is true. Being able to "just be you" and not feel the need to impress everyone else is something that I believe everyone should shoot for. It is so much easier to live happily and healthily is you learn to live just to impress yourself. Once you let go of the crazy expectations society sets, that it suddenly become so much easier to be yourself.
Regretting something that you have done can be one of the biggest, yet most common mistakes that people make in life. Something that I have learned from my actions is to never regret what I did in the past, because at that point in time, it could have been what you wanted the most.
"Live every moment as not to regret what you are about to do" ~Mickey Mouse Before I begin posting on this expansion of my blog, I would like to point one thing out. Most of what people learn was learnt in their childhood. Friends, parents, and even television can teach a child. My childhood was great, and I watched a lot of television (when I wasn't outside goofing off), so a lot of what I learned was from Disney movies and TV shows, but all of it still hold true. To this day, I am still a child, I am still learning, so as I grow older, I will learn more, or even change my views on different things. Enjoy!
