Reading Reminders:
-Connect: I connect to this because I have felt lonely before, as he describes in some parts of the song. -Question: Why did he sing/write this song? Why did he feel this way? Is there somethings he is not telling us? -Predict: I think that the narrator grows up and gets the chance to see his kids, his grandchildren and experiences a full life. -Interpret: The author is trying to tell me that even if times are rough things will get better and that life is full of chances, it just matters what you choose to place your bets on. -Extend: From this song, I have learned that even if I feel down about something, to never give up because I am unstoppable. -Challenge: I think that the author put out a good message with the song, so I agree with it entirely. This is because he puts himself out there so we can sympathize, and feel better about ourselves. Although, I think the author/singer/Narrator should have added some successes that he had into the song as well.
